Long layer : The long layer, in intense violet, has a fine metallic-gold thread running through it every half inch. This beauty is intensified by a magnificent two-inch, silk-satin center-back panel edged on both sides in metallic-gold brocade and matching borders on both sides.
Short layer : The short layer, in a slightly warmer shade of purple, is accented in stripes of metallic-gold medallions accented with either ruby or emerald. Both side edges have a hint of metallic gold brocade.
Both layers have a slightly crisp hand. The reversible waistband matches the short layer and has one buttonhole at center.
